A moment when a dream became real.

There are moments in a human life that don’t just happen – they open. As if the world draws a breath, and everything you have carried with you through decades suddenly stands before you in physical form, like a threshold you finally get to see with your own eyes.
For me, that moment came on a warm day in southern Switzerland. I stood before a gate of steel – simple, industrial, almost modest – but with a sign that made my heart beat differently:
P: PAGANI PENS
It wasn’t just a sign. It was an echo from thirty years of collecting, passion, structure, joy, and a brand that has followed me through every phase of life. Childhood, youth, adulthood – all gathered in that single P and the colon that has been with me for so long.I stood there, quietly, and felt that this gate was not just a factory gate.
It was the boundary between dream and reality. Behind it lay the world I had imagined since I was young – the machines, the people, the craftsmanship, the stories, everything that had shaped every Prodir pen I have ever held in my hand.I took a photo of the gate before I walked in. A simple photo, but for me it is the prologue to its own story. The first chapter of a journey that is not only about pens, but about culture, people, friendship – and about finding meaning in something that may seem small to others, but that has carried me through an entire life. This was the gate. This was the sign. This was the second when my dream, after thirty years, became real.
The Threshold

In May 2026 at 09:40, I took the next step – through the entrance door of the factory in Novazzano. This photo is from that exact moment: the threshold between three decades of dreaming and the day when everything gained a face, a place, and a room. For me, this door was more than a physical entrance. It was a transition between a life filled with collecting, passion, and waiting – and the moment when everything I had dreamed of stood right in front of me, real and alive.I was excited. The deep, quiet excitement that comes when something you have carried with you for over 30 years suddenly stands there, within reach.
A dream that almost slipped away. A dream I was close to losing, but that found its way back – stronger, clearer, and more real than ever.
Inside the Dream
And in the midst of all this, it was difficult to stay professional. I tried, but the emotions took over. It felt as if all the years of work, collecting, and dedication pushed forward at once.
What met me inside didn’t make it easier to keep my composure. We were welcomed by warm, kind people – people who work with exactly what has meant so much to me for so many years. To see the faces behind the pens, behind the stories, behind the quality I have lived with for so long… it moved me more than I had prepared for.
When I took the next step inside, I felt the air change. As if all the years of collecting, documenting, traveling, emails, stories, and pens suddenly found a place to land.It wasn’t just excitement. It was peace. A warm certainty that I was in the right place. That I belonged there – among the people, the machines, the stories, and the pens that have followed me through an entire life.It was like coming home to something I didn’t know I had missed, until I stood there with my hand on the doorframe and felt everything fall into place.
The Conclusion
The visit to Novazzano, Cadempino, and Lamone became a meeting between three decades of passion and the people who make that passion possible. Walking through all three factories – from the first gate in Novazzano to the final rooms in Lamone – was a confirmation of why I have collected, documented, and preserved this history for so long. It wasn’t just a tour. It was a reflection, a reunion, and an anchoring.
Prodir and Pagani Pens is more than a brand to me – it is a part of my life. ❤️
